According to the instructions of the minister of internal affairs, employment of convicts is one of the main priorities of the penitentiary system. Today, 13 enterprises operate in the institution No. 60, including the production of bricks, which employs about 50 convicts. At the specified place of production, the convicts arrive voluntarily. People with disabilities of groups I and II are not involved in work, as they receive social benefits from the state. Similarly, citizens who have reached retirement age are not allowed to work. – We will try to provide all other citizens with employment as much as possible, – says Aidana Abdreimova, head of the Department of Labor Organization of convicts. One of the workers is a citizen named A. He was not employed permanently until the court’s verdict.
Currently, he is involved in the process of firing bricks. – Work is very important to me. Because in the process of work, I get rid of negative thoughts and negative emotions. The main thing is to spend my time on a profitable business and benefit both myself and society. Today I have completed the work of burning bricks.
